Robert Kennedy on the Vaccine Autism Coverup

There has been considerable debate as to whether autism is caused by exposure to mercury in childhood vaccinations.  While effort is being made to cease the use of mercury-based preserving agents in vaccines, soe are still in use.  There are numerous anecdotal reports indicating that kids who develop the symptoms of autism often do so shortly after receiving a round of immunization shots.  This has led to speculation that autism is caused by the mercury in the vaccines and/or by some type of immune reaction to other vaccine components.

There still is no clear-cut link between vaccinations and the development of autism.  While some studies do show a clear link, others indicate that there is no relationship between autism and vaccines whatsoever.  So the debate rages on. 

It has been my observation that some kids diagnosed with autism respond very favorably and very quickly to a mercury detoxification program, yet others show no response to mercury detox at all.  For those who do improve with mercury detox, the results can be incredibly rapid - with a child going from classic autistic mannerisms to essentially normal within a few days.  Because autism involves some rather dramatic alterations in brain function, I began to wonder exactly how simply detoxifying a patient from mercury could eliminate autism symptoms so quickly in some cases.  

 It finally struck me that perhaps I was working on a faulty assumption.  Perhaps in some cases, mercury toxicity was not CAUSING autism, but the symptoms of mercury toxicity were simply being MISDIAGNOSED as autism.  If you detoxify mercury in a patient whose symptoms are strictly due to the effects of mercury in the body, these patients return to normal very quickly, whereas true autism cases may not respond to mercury detoxification. 

At this point, this is simply a theory, and I’m not even sure how to distinguish true autism cases from those that simply have mercury toxicity symptoms, since it would certainly be possible for true autistics to ALSO have mercury toxicity.  In any event, since mercury detoxification can usually be carried out throught the use of inexpensive homeopathic remedies and/or chelation, it makes sense to me to consider mercury as a possible cause of autism-like symptoms, if not actual autism and to perform detoxification when indicated. 

While I do think that it is important to go forward with eliminating mercury and other toxic substances from the vaccines that are being used, I think that instead of debating whether or not vaccines cause autism, our time and resources might be better applied to finding solutions to the problem.
