Qi Gong Flow For Beginners with Lee Holden
The video above is a brief introduction to Qi Gong, which is a type of mind-body exercise from China. The purpose of Qi Gong is to use your mind and body to balance the body’s energy field to bring about relaxation and improve health. It is somewhat similar to Tai Chi, but has a greater amount of meditation and visualization involved with it.
Qi Gong can be practiced in many ways and can be tailored to people of all levels of physical ability. In fact, I have read stories of people who were seriously ill or injured using Qi Gong in their hospital beds to help themselves to heal. I myself have used it successfully to alleviate a chronic cough that had held on for several weeks after a bout with an upper respiratory infection. I had been having the cough for a couple of months and within two days of doing some beginner’s Qi Gong the cough was completely gone.
